The Client:
. You understand that Nutritional Therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment and that Nutritional Therapy does not diagnose medical conditions but may help to manage them through diet and use of supplements.
. Your Nutritional and Supplement Programme is recommended for a limited period of time, specified by the practitioner, and is designed solely for yourself.
. It is recommended to have your health status re-evaluated with a follow up consultation in four to eight weeks.
. It is your responsibility to inform your GP about any nutritional and supplement programme that you are following.
. If you are receiving medication or medical treatment, taking homeopathic or herbal medication, it is strongly recommended that you inform your GP or healthcare provider that you are following a nutritional and supplement programme. The practitioner will confirm at the beginning of the programme that it is your responsibility to do this, as specific dietary changes or/and the use of supplements may interact with treatment or medication although the nutritional therapist will carefully evaluate any current medication and nutrient interactions and will do her upmost to make sure that this does not happen.
. It is your responsibility to inform the practitioner about any health problems, medication, treatment or supplements that you are taking.
. You can contact the practitioner via email if you do not understand or want clarification on any area of your nutrition or supplement programme.
The Practitioner:
. Maintains high standard of professional and personal conduct.
. Offers nutritional and supplement advice which is tailored to the individual client as it pertains solely to you.
. Does NOT offer advice that is substitute for general practitioner/medical advice or treatment.
. Refers client to general practitioner where necessary.
. Respects the confidentiality of the client. Personal details are kept by the practitioner in accordance with the code of conduct outlined by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. Information can not be passed on to another practitioner without your written consent.
